Opening of the Dalzell Steelworks

28th September 2016

I was delighted to join my colleagues from the Scottish Steel Task Force as well as trade unions, steelworkers and others today at the formal opening of the Dalzell Steelworks in Motherwell.

Thanks to the hard work of the Scottish Government, a future has been forged for steel in Scotland. The works will continue to provide a number of jobs to the community and allow workers to continue making world class steel products.

Well done to all those involved in saving this iconic industry.
