I am glad to be supporting St. Andrew’s Hospice during Hospice Care Week. The staff in Airdrie have won awards for the tremendous work they do and must be commended for their efforts and services to the community.
Terminally ill people deserve to be treated with dignity and respect in their final days. Terminal illness can be an uncomfortable subject to talk about, but it is important that we have conversations with our loved ones so that it is clear what our wishes are. This makes matters much easier for those left behind.
I urge the community to do what they can to support Saint Andrew’s Hospice to ensure that they can continue to provide the award winning and high quality palliative care they have done for years. I can assure readers that those who use their services are eternally grateful and can go a long way to provide them with much needed comfort.
