Earlier this week I spoke in a debate on Post Office closures.
The Post Office is not providing clear answers on why the Motherwell Crown branch has been selected for privatisation.
After speaking with people in the town centre, a staggering 84% said their Post Office was really valued.
Current plans are risking jobs, expertise, accessibility, footfall in the town centre and also a general drop in service – and the residents share these concerns. The plans must be reversed.
Going into the general election, if I am re-elected, continuing the campaign to save the Post Office in Motherwell will remain one of my top priorities.
