FULL STORY: Scottish economy rebounds in first quarter of 2017

Fantastic news as the Scottish economy has grown by 0.8% in the first quarter of this year – outperforming the UK as a whole with 0.2%.

There was a huge increase in the production sector with a 3.1% growth and 0.3% growth in the service sector. The Scottish Government is determined to build an economy and opportunities for people with different skillsets and ambitions.

Production at the Dalzell plant just up the road from my office has attributed hugely to the growth in production.

There’s still work to be done!
