FULL STORY: Scottish unemployment rate hits 25-year low

This is yet more great news about Scotland’s economy, with unemployment now standing at 3.8%, compared to the UK average of 4.5% – representing a 0.7% fall. This follows the news that Scotland’s economy was the fastest growing of any UK nation in the first quarter of 2017.

Whilst this news is welcome and demonstrates that the fundamentals of Scotland’s economy are strong, there is much more that needs to be done to make sure that quality work is secured and that workers are paid the real living wage.
