Today I visited the newly refurbished St Andrew’s Hospice in Airdrie.
The improvement in facilities is astounding. The upgraded rooms will provide greater dignity to patients and help their families at an immensely difficult time.
There has been a magnificent response to the Capital Appeal but although the physical refurbishment is complete the Hospice has still to find £3m to pay for all the work done.
I have every confidence that the people of Motherwell and Wishaw, and indeed people across North Lanarkshire will continue to generously support this wonderful place.
