The Scottish Government’s innovative Minimum Unit Pricing policy has resulted in a 25 year low on alcohol sales. But it is too early to say what effects this has had on alcohol related diseases.

In any case, the hope is that lower alcohol consumption will benefit Scotland through better health, longer lives and lower pressures on our public services like the NHS and Police.
