FORMER LOCAL STUDENT FLYING FLAG FOR SCOTLAND IN RUSSIA

22nd August 2019

This week, former Clyde Valley High and New College Lanarkshire student and Newmains local, Ross Megahy, is competing at the WorldSkills event in Kazan, Russia.

Ross specialises in Computer Aided Design and is part of a 37-strong team which will take on 1,600 competitors from more than 60 other countries.

It’s great to see the hard work of local people pay off and have them represent us in international competitions. An amazing achievement which demonstrates the talents and potential our young people have.

Ross has won medals at a UK and European level before. I’m sure everyone across Lanarkshire and Scotland will be cheering him on so that he brings back another medal!
