This morning I attended the Lanarkshire Business Conference at the new UWS campus in Blantyre to hear from small businesses and stakeholders who provide support.
It was great to hear that despite the downturn of Brexit, Scotland is bucking the trend with employment and growth increasing. Businesses in Scotland are working harder to counter the effects of the Tories’ disastrous Brexit plans.
There is a lot of support out there for SMEs. I spoke with LendingCrowd who have been given funding by the Scottish Investment Bank to lend to SMEs. And also to SDP Scotland – based in Lanarkshire – who provide support to SMEs on bidding for public procurement contracts.
Lanarkshire is on the up and has become a place to live, work, and do business.
