Commenting, Mrs Fellows said:

“I want to provide my heartfelt thanks for all those who came along and donated money or food. It was fantastic to see so many people doing their bit for an incredibly important charity that is very close to me. Together, we raised over £350 so that MacMillan can continue to be a source of aid in times of distress.

“I know personally the great lengths MacMillan staff go to in order to support people and their families in their time of greatest need. Their contributions and dedication deserve to be recognised.

“Cancer can and will affect many of us in our lifetimes. Make sure to educate yourself on the warning signs and if you have a spare pound or two, please consider donating to MacMillan Cancer Support. Their support can make a massive difference to peoples’ lives.”

Our Motherwell and Wishaw Coffee Morning in support of MacMillan Cancer Support was a great success. We raised an additional £273.39 in the space of two hours – all while stuffing our faces with cake.

I want to thank from the bottom of my heart all those who contributed cakes and other treats and all those who came along to support such an important cause that is extremely close to me.

I can personally testify to the services the incredible staff from MacMillan provide. They are wonderful and give support to people in their time of greatest need. They deserve to be recognised for their contributions to peoples’ lives.

For anyone who wasn’t able to attend and has a spare pound or two, I’d be thankful if they could donate to MacMillan.
