Marion Fellows for Motherwell, Wishaw and Carluke

“It has been an honour to represent Motherwell and Wishaw. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to represent you and our community.”

Marion has been the Member of Parliament for Motherwell and Wishaw since 2015. As the SNP Westminster Spokesperson for Disabilities, Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Post Offices, and Vice-Chair of the Accessible Transport Policy Commission, Marion is well regarded and a strong advocate for her work concerning social justice issues. Marion was awarded 2023 Political Voice of the Year by major cancer research charity Sarcoma UK and 2023 Parliamentarian of the Year by leading disability rights organisation Sense UK. In early January 2024, Marion received critical acclaim for her years-long efforts of fighting for justice for victims impacted by the Post Office scandal.

Disclaimer: Parliament has been dissolved until after the General Election and I am no longer an MP.

Marion Fellows For Motherwell, Wishaw & Carluke

My Crowdfunder is officially up and running! Every election is important, but this election is one of the most important of our lifetimes. The future of our country is at stake. Not just for the next five years – but for generations to come […]

April Newsletter

Message from Marion: This April was an important time for many. With Eid and Passover both occurring, and Easter in the final days of March, the past month provided an opportunity to spend cherished time with loved ones. But for many – religious or not – this month continued to be challenging as Westminster’s cost of living crisis inflicted more hardship on families. With Easter recess I was able to spend additional valuable time in the constituency where I heard directly from individuals, families and charities about the constant
issues they face in these trying economic times.

General Election 2024

I welcome Rishi Sunak’s announcement that a General Election will be held on July 4. The time is right for the people of Scotland to choose independence and reject the decades of indifference towards Scotland shown by the unionist parties. This shambolic Tory period of office did nothing to help Scotland. It brought only Brexit, hardship, austerity and economic chaos. Brexit – which went against the will of the Scottish people – has brought only misery for our businesses both large and small, and raised prices for hard-pressed families.

Poverty Action Network

At the end of March, I reconvened the Motherwell and Wishaw Poverty Action Network (PAN). At a time when a cost of living and mental health crisis shows no signs of letting up, elected officials must innovate and find ways to make life easier for folk across the country. That is what PAN is all about: taking care and looking after our community. As your MP, I know I alone can’t solve every issue we face.

Westminster has catastrophically failed, it must commit to ensuring justice for sub-postmasters

The Post Office Scandal has shocked and outraged so many of us and with good reason. As an SNP MP, I have been working for more than five years, alongside others, with the sub-postmasters who run local post offices, seeking justice from the post office itself […]

Marion Fellows MP says she acted on her own beliefs and the pleas of constituents in calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza in the UK parliament. Lanarkshire MP thanked by charity for grilling Prime Minister on sky-high energy bills

People diagnosed with a terminal illness face a spike of 75% in energy costs – making an incredibly difficult situation that much harder. Last week I urged the Prime Minister to implement a social energy tariff for our most vulnerable […]
